This article presents research on Brazilian turf industry workers who migrate in search of opportunities abroad. I discuss the « convertibility » of « equestrian capital » issuing from a rural Brazilian culture and how it fuels this particular case of labor force mobility, within the context of contemporary global sport. The trajectories of people who, through horses, live out desires, experiences and the search for stability in life and work are relevant to current debates on our global world.
