Crisis of Cultural Models in the Consciousness of Man (The "Walpurgis night, or Steps of Commander" V. Erofeeva)

Abstract

The article considers the play by Veniamin Erofeev " Walpurgis night, or Steps of Commander" in the context of the crisis of logocentric picture of the world at different levels: the name, poetics, associative array, allusiveness. System of personages in the plays underlines the striving of heroes to madness, to self-destruction, forming the tragic pathos of the play, caused by the absurdity of the existing order.
