German all-day school: A study on its implementation into educational practice
Abstract
The study presents a new topic in the Czech educational context – theGerman all-day school. The study defines the German all-day school and describesthe philosophy of education in the German all-day school. It also provides a briefoverview of the history of this educational institution. The aim of the empirical partof this study is to explore whether particular schools meet all the requirements for thephilosophy of education in the German all-day school. The research used a qualitativeresearch strategy, case study method, typological sample of nine schools from NorthRhine-Westphalia. The results are interpreted and presented in the table. Findings ofthe evaluation are recommendatory.
