Verdad, justicia y reparación en medio de la guerra: los desplazados en Colombia

Abstract

This article explores the possibilities and the limits of the processes of truth, justice and reparations amidst Colombian war focused on the biggest group of victims, the forced displaced people. One of the main features of this group is that they mostly inhabit small villages in a rural environment. Going on with an ambiguous and contradictory politics of dialogue and demobilization of paramilitary groups, one main issue is discussed: the reparation of displaced population, which implies a complex and critical review of the economic and political interests. Because of this, it is necessary to reconsider the function of the Colombian rural areas in all its dimensions, in order to generate equitable processes and structural changes in the Colombian society, as grounds for an integral and sustainable reconciliation.
