Plane Angles: why must the radian have a measure equal to the unity?
Abstract
In this article is discussed a subject that generates controversies in the teaching of Physics: why the radian must be the correct unit for the measurements of plane angles. The answer is, in our opinion, in the concepts of Calculus, where the analytical notions are independent of the geometrical ones.
