The teaching of José Antonio Portuondo at the University of East

Abstract

In this work the José Antonio Portuondo (1911-1996) links with the University of East roam. the main stages of these relationships in which the relevant intellectual was a professor and rector of the higher education center are defined. Portuondo's pioneering work is analyzed from the pre revolutionary period and the criteria on the University Portuondo highlighted in the context of the early years of the revolution. From testimonies from former teachers and students the main facets of its work and the significance of their concepts and outlines enforceable.
