Article highlights The study assesse the stability of agricultural plastic films during real conditions of rose waste composting. Environmental conditions such as a long-term exposure to solar radiation may account in part for the degradation of aged plastic films. After composting, the chemical structure of the new plastic films changed but this finding may correspond to the protective additives.
