Raumplanerische Koordination aus rechtlicher Sicht

Abstract

The Federal Administrative Court’s judgement of 03/16/2006 concerning the airport Berlin-Schönefeld seems to announce a renaissance of the idea of coordination by spatial planning. Even after this decision, however, the Länder’s comprehensive regional planning will not be able to effectively coordinate the federal state’s and the European Union’s sectoral plannings. The paper elaborates various possible strategies to improve the legal framework for comprehensive spatial planning in Germany.
