Vidas. Création d’un dictionnaire biographique des acteurs de la renaissance d’oc en ligne : nécessité et contraintes

Abstract

Like other researchers before us working on the contemporary history of the pro-langue d’oc movement, we have often been faced with incomplete or even totally absent data concerning some of its key protagonists. This difficulty and the fact that not only do such sources exist but that many researchers and students have at one time or another consulted them in the course of their research gave rise to the idea of compiling a biographical dictionary of all the actors who played a part in the revitalisation of the language d’oc. This paper discusses the need for such a tool and the technical, formal and human constraints associated with its development.
