The ability to assess one’s own effectiveness is an essential competence of future educators. The belief in one’s own teaching effectiveness allows for the effective implementation of educational tasks. The aim of the article was to test the sense of self-efficacy in teaching using the Sense of Teacher Efficiency Scale (TSES). 93 students of pedagogy participated in the research. The research shows that second-cycle and part-time students assess their teaching effectiveness better than first-cycle and full-time students. People with didactic practice achieve higher results in terms of self-efficacy in teaching than people with general pedagogical practice. It is recommended to develop the ability to assess one’s own effectiveness during workshops and teaching practice.
