Iran’s nuclear deal – London’s position

Abstract

The author analyses UK-Iran relationship and US withdrawal from «The Joint Сomprehensive Plan of Action» as a challenge for the Iran nuclear deal participants. The main dilemma for the UK, France and Germany is whether they will follow the Euro-Atlantic course despite their strategic and economic interests in Iran or they will choose confrontation with Washington over Iran with uncertain political consequences and substantial financial sanctions. The second scenario means for London breaking solidarity with the US (the so called «special relationship»)
