Evropski in globalni model geoida na območju Slovenije

Abstract

Article deals with geoid models EGM96 and EGG97. Model geoidundulations are verified by means of given geoid undulations that werecomputed from measured orthometric and elipsoidal heights. Thepossibilities for GPS heighting by means of these two models on the area of Slovenia are considered. Though geoid undulations calculations accuracy from global geopotential model is not sufficient enough for geodetic purposes, it has important role in local geoid models determination, especialy in their long wavelength component.
