This exploration examines the image of Ukraine that emerged in the media space of India’s most influential edition of «The Times of India» in 2017. During the research, such categories of analysis were developed: «quantitative indicators of publications about Ukraine», «topics of materials», «tonality of publications». Among the topics that Ukraine’s readers associated with «The Times of India»: trade relations between Ukraine and India in the context of international economic cooperation, the domestic policy of our state through the prism of financial and gas problems, Ukrainian-Russian relations and the policy of Western countries in relation to the Crimea and economic sanctions against Russia. The Indian publication does not see an information reason to focus attention on the internal political events of the Ukrainian state, its image is formed in society but economic manner, while remaining attractive to Indian media audiences. «The Times of India» publication of the events that take place in Ukraine, illuminates quite often and gives them a predominantly neutral color. However, a small amount of positive feedback in support of the domestic and foreign policies of the Ukrainian government remains a problem that can only be solved if it is possible to find effective methods of working with the world media in order to form their positive opinion about Ukraine, in particular, regularly invite foreign experts, advisers to heads of state and journalists in Ukraine, to arrange meetings with politicians, the third sector, journalists, so that they have an adequate picture of what is happening in our country state. It should be noted that there is no negative and sharply condemning content in the publication of publications, which is an indication that the countries of the Asian continent, on the example of the Indian edition, do not lose interest in our country and support it primarily as their trade and economic partner. The conclusion is that improvement of the image of Ukraine is possible only if one can find effective methods of working with world mass media сommunication in order to form their positive opinion about Ukraine.
