Interaction of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine with educational institutions, research institutions, libraries, professional organizations: content, trends and prospects
Abstract
Problem Statement. The decisive condition for the effective formation of national information scientific and educational space in modern domestic library practice is the fruitful cooperation of libraries with profile institutions Society. The purpose of the article is to consider the directions and forms of interaction of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine with scientific and educational institutions, representation of prospects of interaction. Methodology. The principle of historicism, scientific objectivity and systematics allowed to analyze the peculiarities of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine interaction with educational institutions, scientific institutions, scientific libraries, and professional organizations. It was important to use the socio-communication method, which helped to identify the features of the main forms and directions of cooperation at the present stage, gave the opportunityto characterize their content and functional load. The use of a systematic approach made it possible to carry out an objective analysis of the interaction from the formation and filling of cooperation through scientific communication to the production of basic scientific knowledge. Scientific novelty. The results are obtained, which form a systematic idea of the fruitful cooperation of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine with domestic scientific, cultural and educational institutions through the implementation of innovative projects. Practical approaches to initiating promising areas of cooperation have been developed. Conclusions. The need to organize rapid access to the consolidated resources of scientific, educational and cultural sphere determines the improvement of technological processes through the introduction of common technological solutions and extensive use of the potential of competent staff of other libraries, institutions and organizations to address complex issues. The priority should be the implementation of large joint programs and projects, which will create conditions for strengthening the position of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, expand opportunities to find additional sources of funding. The joint digitization plan will provide significant savings in material and human resources, which will improve the quality of electronic resources. Practical meaning. The article substantiates the advantages of introducing the widest possible interaction of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine with educational institutions, research institutions, libraries, professional organizations through project activities.
