In view of the disasters of strong rock pressure in the process of deep mining, high gas and hard roof coal seam in a mine of Jincheng Coal Group, the feasibility of early warning of strong rock pressure is explored by using KJ768 micro-seismic monitoring system. Research shows: KJ768 micro-seismic monitoring system can accurately locate the local roof rupture in the strike of working face and the vertical direction of coal seam. By analyzing the relationship between micro-seismic frequency and the advancing speed of working face, it can be concluded that the system is sensitive to the change of factors affecting the stability of overburden structure. The early warning threshold of strong rock pressure is delineated by using Emax, total energy∑E24 and energy anomaly K of daily maximum micro-seismic events. The verification of strong rock pressure shows that KJ768 micro-seismic monitoring system can effectively predict the phenomena of strong rock pressure in the field.
