Overview of Inderdisciplinary Studies on Festival: Proposals for Inderdisciplinaty Approaches in Urban Setting

Abstract

Festival is a social phenomenon common to both agrarian and industrial communities in urban as well as in rural contexts. Festival has become a popular theme that attracts attention from researchers in many different universities and institutes. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the multidisciplinary research areas related to the impact of festival in a modern society. The paper concludes with a suggested multidisciplinary approach to festival in the contemporary urban setting.
