DESMOID TUMOR OF THE MEDIASTINUM: A 6-YEAR CLINICAL FOLLOW-UP AFTER THE COMBINED MODALITY TREATMENT: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Extra-abdominal desmoids are tumors with borderline biologic behavior and tendency to frequent local recurrence. The paper presents a case of successful treatment of this rare tumor with involvement of mediastinal structures. The combined modality treatment resulted in 6-year disease-free survival.
