Percorsi e processi di accoglienza ed integrazione territoriale: rifugiati e richiedenti asilo in Irpinia
Abstract
The migrations of the new millennium are economic, but also social and political migrations. In Italy this phenomenon has taken on a significant dimension, both for the number of migrants who land on the coasts and for the territories affected by the emergency. Today, it is not possible to handle the emergency in landing areas; local institutions and communities are directly involved in the reception of refugees and asylum seekers. This article is the result of a research on the reception model of asylum seekers and refugees in Irpinia, a territory of South Italy that has been facing for 4-5 years the problem of hospitality, with difficulties and social instability, but which, in some cases, has produced examples of excellence. The research deepens the possible correlations between the local reception model (SPRAR and CAS) and the territorial networks involved; but also wants to check whether the presence of a permanent territorial organization, stimulates the reception, responds to a first territorial emergency, favors a true integration, with positive effects on the improvement and development of the communities involved.
