La Erección de la ermita de san Antón de Bullas (Murcia). Siglo XVI

Abstract

Se aportan nuevos datos inéditos sobre la erección de la Ermita de San Antón del pueblo de Bullas, provincia de Murcia, en 1568. El territorio estaba vinculado a la Orden de Santiago, pero bajo la jurisdicción eclesiástica de la parroquial de Cehegín y del obispado de Cartagena. La documentación inédita que se ofrece, pretende completar las fuentes documentales de la Historia de Bullas dando a conocer datos concretos sobre el inicio del núcleo urbano y la erección de la primera parroquia de Bullas antes de ser creada villa en el siglo XVII, así como rememorar un edificio emblemático, derruido hace algunos años y del que sólo se conserva un sillar. Abstract: This is a new unpublished data on the establishment of the Hermitage of Saint Anthony in the town of Bullas, Province of Murcia, in 1568. The hermitage was linked to the Order of St. James but was under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the parish of Cehegín and of the diocese of Cartagena. The unpublished documents that offer and aim to complete the documentary sources of the history of Bullas reveal specific data on the beginning of the urban center, the establishment of the first parish of Bullas before it became a town in the seventeenth century and memorialize by a landmark building which was demolished a few years ago and from which only a foundation marker remains.
