. Mass campaigns always involve mobilizing a large number of people by the political elite to achieve a goal and they are a feature of China's political and social life. When Mao Zedong was in charge of China, these mass campaigns were part of the daily life of the Chinese, and they took place successively after the proclamation of the People's Republic on October 1, 1949. More than once these campaigns overlapped, as in the case of the anti-right campaign (1957-1959) with the Great Leap Forward (1958-1960). Here we will deal with a brief overview of the three most important mass campaigns of Mao's time, the Hundred Flowers Campaign, The Great Leap Forward, and the Cultural Revolution.
