Considering Tradition and Text in Contemporary Ukrainian Studies: Cognitive and Structural Principles
Abstract
A thorough comparison of the main principles of creation and functioning of the text within the cultural and creative boundaries of the tradition at the level of phenotext and genotext constitute the practical basis and research focus of this material. The article considers the wide format of the text in view of the nature of the cultural contextualization of the Ukrainian traditional textual formation (textual creation) in its “written” and “oral” forms. Instrumental units, such as hypertext, macrotext, are involved in the characterization. The leading task in considering the experience of text writing (text creation) and contextualization is defined by the deliberately well-developed conceptual term “textualia”. It offers a variety of links between the text and the context, as well as the scientific text creation. It presents forms of the communicative textual activity and examines the potential for communication that comes from the communicative core of the tradition. It is noted that scientific contemplation and textual formation are based on systematization through ranking. Thus, in the scientific result, the level of observation of the “common-holistic” as a system is produced. It is also mentioned that the text as a creative cultural depository is based in its emergent potential and functioning on the organicity as a “living” need for the anthropological event memorate. It is emphasized that the tradition contains and attests to the emergence and functional deployment, more broadly – to the “fate of the text”. Thus, a cultural and textual array of intentional “activator” of the human, in particular Ukrainian, communicative activity is concluded within the tradition.
