This article reflects the vision of authors on the prospects of international cooperation in the field of satellite technologies, which are developing rapidly with a spectacular expansion in various areas of scientific, economic and social interest. In most European countries the concerns in satellite technologies are gaining more ground in the universities and research centres attracting in research new adherents, especially among young researchers. Satellite technology area is becoming more prominent in the development of educational projects and therefore continuously increases the number of universities that launch their own satellites with the most diverse scientific missions and goals. An example of the dynamic development of space technologies is Romania. In recent years the thematic variety of scientific research has expanded rapidly, new scientific schools and institutional structures of research - development in the area of space technologies were opened. The Republic of Moldova takes the first steps in this field. After signing the Agreement of Association of the Republic of Moldova to the European research – innovation programme – Horizon 2020 in June 2014, new opportunities open regarding the participation of Moldovan academic community in European programmes for the development of space technologies.
