O TRABALHO INFANTIL NA AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR DE POVOADOS DOS PERÍMETROS IRRIGADOS DE ITABAIANA/SE E SEUS REFLEXOS NA EDUCAÇÃO

Abstract

Geographic space is the result of human action through work on nature. In this context, the work of children and adolescents also defines space, being motivated by social, economic and ideological conditions. In agriculture, this work is imposed, in part, in the cultural and historical construction, of teaching children a trade. Therefore, the present work aims to analyze child labor in the irrigated horticultural areas of Itabaiana / SE, especially in the villages Agrovila and Cajaíba II. This had been developed from an empirical-analytical perspective, with a qualitative and quantitative basis, based on bibliographic review, fieldwork and dialogue with local management institutions. The work involved the application of 30 questionnaires to farming families, validated the existence of child labor in Itabaiana, from the countryside and institutional managements, despite the policies of combating, withdrawing and helping low-income families.
