MULHERES NAS FORÇAS ARMADAS: UMA REFLEXÃO TEÓRICA

Abstract

This work intends to undertake a reflection on the construction of military identity in contemporary, investing in theorizing about the current historical moment, marked by transformations making us perceive a crisis in the traditional sources of identity reference (HALL, 2003), which allows to postulate a transformation of the identities of groups traditionally seen as hegemonic, as the military (CASTRO, 2004). This approach leads to a reflection on the problematic of the formation of subjectivity, and, consequently, on the resignification of gender issues in previously excluded areas of this agenda, such as the Armed Forces. In this way, a look at the military's "way of being", their cultural traditions, i. e., a "military way of acting", related to women’s integration in the barracks.
