Abstract

The article makes an attempt to analyze the biography of the well-known Russian sociologist B.G. Tukumtsev in the genre of ethnographic strategy of qualitative sociological research. The basic norms and practices that were established in the legendary Laboratory of Sociological Research of the Kuibyshev Polytechnic University, and later — the Samara State University, whose leader was always B.G. Tukumtsev, are considered.
