Las cláusulas relativas en francés y su traducción al español

Abstract

For any student of translation it is of great importance the study of grammatical aspects, both in the source language as well as in the target language. The contact be-tween these two languages may sometimes lead to the production of strange utter-ances. This article, besides presenting con-cepts about relative clauses in French and Spanish, shows how students, belonging to three different levels of French, translated into Spanish sentences taken from books in French. It was expected that the higher the level they studied, the better their perform-ance would be. The results of this elicita-tion technique are presented and discussed.
