SOCCERMETRICS AS A SCIENCE AND AN ACADEMIC DISCIPLINE

Abstract

Soccermetrics examines econometric models in football. Soccermetrics is a synthesis ofstatistics, data analysis, economics, and computer technology. Soccermetrics increases the effectiveness of players, teams, and financial results. This article analyzes the reasons for the lag of soccermetrics in our country. The article discusses the prospects of soccermetrics as a science and as an academic discipline in Russia.
