Innovations as a Necessary Condition for Development of Libraries in Ukraine

Abstract

The work is devoted to the innovative activity of modern libraries. It is demonstrated that the changes that occur in society are the need to adapt libraries to the conditions of a new social reality. It is emphasized that it is an innovative activity today is one of the priority directions of the development of the modern library. Modern trends of information and library service are given. The features of methodical activity of libraries are examined as basic direction of innovative development in modern terms. Development awaits only those libraries that choose the innovative path, because in order to become in demand for the modern user, it is necessary to completely modernize library mechanisms and update the library’s life processes.
