Sociologues en exil : vie et mort d’une génération d’intellectuels
Abstract
The article analyzes the International Committee of social sciences for Chile, created in 1973 after Pinochet’s coup d’État. It synthesizes the political-academic articulation between European and Latin American intellectuals who had in Chile, from the 1960s to September 11, 1973, the framework of an international academic community. It highlights the role of Brazilians in this process and questions the production of ideas in the articulation between center and periphery in the context of the institutionalization of social sciences in Latin America.
