This article presents discussions and literature reading practices in the classroom for students of the sixth grade of elementary school, from the relationship between text and art and cultural objects, based on intertextuality, aimed at the formation of the literary reader. This discussion part of a cutout in the dissertation research being developed in the Professional Master's Program in Letters (PROFLETRAS), the State University of Western Paraná (UNIOESTE), campus of Cascavel and is based on the intertextuality of assumption to build proposals of literary literacy. The theoretical basis for such considerations are reading concepts, literature, children's literature and the experience of the Spanish researcher Antonio Mendoza Fillola with intertextuality and comparative literature.
