Emotional Labor Behavior of Nurses
Abstract
Interest in emotions in working life has increased rapidly in recent years and a working life lacking emotions is unthinkable. The intensity of emotions is felt even more in the professions where the human element is the for runner. It leads to the expansion of responsibility and jurisdiction of nursing services in today's rapid change conditions, complex technology, extreme work load and intense human relations. These changes and developments require that nurses be aware of their emotions, manage their empathy, empathize, communicate effectively and become health professionals aware of emotional labor behavior. The efforts of organizations to shape their emotions and emotional impressions of their employees have caused the concept of emotional labor to gain importance in the field of organizational behavior. Particularly because emotional labor behavior is of great importance in terms of nursing services group, this concept has been tried to be explained.
