SCIENTIFIC EXPLORATION OF CREDIBILITY ESTIMATION OF THE ECONOMIC ENTITIES

Abstract

The article analyzes the scientific approaches to the concept disclosure of economic entities’ credibility. It has been established that the problem cannot be considered completely disclosed, despite a large number of satisfactorily substantiated points of view, since a universal methodology for evaluating borrowers' credit rating has not yet been developed in the theory and practice. As a result of application of the system approach and general scientific research methods to the stated problem, the author's proposed definition of credibility is following: «it is a complex estimation indicator that reveals the possibility of granting a loan to a potential borrower in accordance with the requirements of the specific terms of the contract, in the context of realizing the opportunities and securing the interests of the creditor». It allows differentiating the development of appropriate methods for assessing credibility, depending on the specific characteristics of a particular credit transaction.
