Economia Solidária e Desenvolvimento Local: a Prática dos Empreendimentos Econômicos Solidários na Região do Cariri Cearense

Abstract

The present study examinate the conceptions of local development applied by the practices of solidarity economy in the region borded by Territory of Cariri. The choices for the study comprise a descriptive research with a mainly quantitative approach and the use of descriptive statistics. In light of the interpretation of the data collected it was noted that the enterprises in the region have applied partially and gradually concepts that could be classified as "counter-hegemonic" or alternative, that involve community participation, self-management and networking cooperation.
