This article analyzes in a synthesized way the different path that followed Chile and Argentina to managed the growing revenue from exports of its two main commodities: copper and soybeans. It is taken as a time reference the so-called boom of raw materials: 2003-2013. To do this, we start from a point of view with a statist approach, comparing between the two case studies. Apparently, and in the light of the facts, it appears that while public management in Chile was preplanned with certain doses of certainty and assurance in a long-term minimum income, Argentina opted for a more temporary and short-place model
