OS DESAFIOS DO ENVELHECIMENTO PARA A ATENÇÃO BÁSICA DA SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA
Abstract
The text deals with the quandaries that aging imposes to the health system, highlightening for the actions of basic attention in Family’s Health that long to protect and to promote the population’s health. The article is based on political, historical and social arguments that have contributed for the construction of the Brazilian Public Health, as a field of protection and promotion of the individual’s and of collective’s health. Therefore it is pointed out the importance of a further development of public policies concerning aging. It is noted that although the increase of life expectancy is as consequence of economic development and of public health, in developing countries, as Brazil, the actions still don’t satisfy the necessities of the aged ones.
