Demography in the scientific discourse: integrity of the subject area

Abstract

The article deals with the issues of integrativeness of the subject area of modern science of Demography. The problem of interdependence of demographic processes and economic development has been revealed. The importance of using integrated approaches in solving theoretical and applied demographic studies aimed at regulating the density of settlement and development of territories, including rural areas and areas with unfavorable geoclimatic conditions has been noted.
