Métropolisation économique et exclus de la mobilité dans les villes américaines : imaginer une métropolisation politique
Abstract
The analysis of economic metropolitanization focuses on how difficult it is for people excluded from urban mobility to get a job in American cities. It suggests how conceptualizing metropolitanization and its costs encourages thinking about the invention of a political life at the scale of the work market which could be called “political metropolitanization”. The analysis is based on a body of social science works and meetings with local officials responsible for transportation programs that are part of the reform of the social welfare in the United States.
