Cadmium in human and animal organisms. III. Effect on reproductive system

Abstract

Analytical review of the results of up-to-date studies of Cadmium effects on the reproductive system in human and animal organism is presented. The effects of Cadmium intake on functional activity of sex glands and other reproductive organs, on gametogenesis and hormonogenesis have been analysed. Impact of Cadmium as endocrine disrupter and carcinogen that affects gene expression is discussed.
