Trafik Kazalarının Zamansal ve Mekânsal İncelenmesi: Konya Şehri Örneği

Abstract

The growing urban population leads to an increased number of vehicles, resulting in transportation challenges. One significant issue is traffic accidents. This study examines accidents in Konya’s central districts of Karatay, Selçuklu and Meram. Traffic accidents were handled in three categories as time, space and temporal-spatial factors. 2015-2021 textual data from the traffic baranch directorate and accident reports were analyzed.The time analysis includes details on hours, days, months, seasons and years of accidents. Point density, Anselin Local Moran I and case total tools were used to analyze accidents in terms of location. Hot Spot Analysis and Space Time Cube tools were used for time and space analysis of traffic accidents. ArcGIS Pro software version 2.5 and ArcGIS software version 10.8 were used for analysis and findings. It has been observed that most of the traffic accidents occur in areas where residential settlements are densely populated and in industrial zones.
