The article is dedicated to the peculiarities of the reception of Dostoevsky in Russian émigré literature. The work analyses the prose of Vladimir Varshavsky, one of the “younger” émigré writers. In the interwar period, Varshavsky was primarily interested in Dostoevsky as a writer who anticipated some psychological features of the “young émigré man”. Varshavsky develops some specific components of Dostoevsky's poetics. After World War II, Dostoevsky became part of Varshavsky's historical constructions in Unnoticed Generation. The article proposes some new materials from Varshavsky’s archive, which is situated in the House of Russian Abroad named after A. Solzhenitsyn (DRZ F. 291).
