The school environment presents a great diversity of people and is subject to interpersonal conflicts, especially when linked to gender stereotypes, especially masculinity in a biological, heteronormative and sexist perspective in several contexts, including at school. Thus, the present work aims to carry out a bibliographic review on masculinity in the school context through scientific articles in the period between January 2008 and September 2018, available in the Scielo and Educ @ databases. The text is justified by presenting different perspectives on masculinities in school from the scientific production of the last 10 years in prominent databases. This is a systematic bibliographic search using keywords (masculinity; male; school; school; teaching; gender) to search the databases and categorize them. As a result, 13 scientific articles were found in total, corresponding to 8 in the Educ @ database and 5 in the Scielo database, which were classified into three major categories: Violence and Homophobia, Stereotypes and Gender Relations, Teacher Education; Through these data, it was noted the great approach to stereotypes and gender representations in the articles and the little approach to aspects related to violence, homophobia and teacher training. It is not feasible to separate the school's discriminatory processes from the gender-reinforcing stereotypes that are rooted in human culture. As a reflection, it is suggested to produce articles with a greater emphasis on the teacher's training process and his performance, and on the violent reproductions that occur within the school with deviations from heteronormative standards.
