The consumption of alcohol in the Lubavitch Movement in Buenos Aires. Diversity of meanings

Abstract

The practice of drinking vodka belongs to the core of identity reproduction processes inside the HabadLubavitch movement. Thisarticle accounts of the various meanings of this practice. The analysis is based on the concepts of globalization and territorialization, analyzing their potentialities when articulated with the concept of imaginary. Taking these concepts into account, we aim at analyzing the heterogeneity of religious groups.
