The article discusses the genesis of Alexei Kruchenykh’s manner of writing. To achieve the goal, for the first time, a lexical comparison of the futurist poetic texts and Platon Lukashevich’s book “Charomutie, or sacred language of magicians, Magi and priests” (1846) was made. In the course of the research, borrowing archaic neologisms were found and their features (lexical meaning and origin) were characterized. As a result, the role of the archaic neologisms in the early Alexei Kruchenykh’s works was determined: the poet uses them for a stylization, as well as for visual accentuation of other words that express the content of poems. Thus, on the basis of Lukashevich’s idea of a primitive language and with the help of the words borrowed from “Charomutie...” the futurist forms his “future language”.
