This article discusses the main regulatory normative acts and major events of youth policy in Europe and Russia. The purpose of the research is the systematic review of the European and Russian experience in the development of youth policy, as well as the comparative analysis of the results. The tasks include the analysis of youth policy measures in the Russian Federation and Europe, as well as the comparison of the results of these two systems. The methodological basis of this research consists of the methods of historicism, the comparative historical method and the method of content analysis. The research methods involve the use of a broad source base on this issue, the chronology of presentation being observed. The practical significance of this work lies in the consistent review of modern European and Russian youth policy. The theoretical significance consists in posing this methodological problem, as well as in analyzing the results of youth policy in Russia and Europe. The results of the study show conclusions about the effectiveness of the youth policy of the two regions.
