Workplace bullying is expressed through repeated behaviors, attitudes and actions in purpose of humiliate and constrain the victim in the workplace, so that such violence, psychological and/or physical, can result in damage to physical and mental health of the worker, affect the performance of their activities in the organization and harm him on his personal life. However, organizations are unable to identify those acts of violence which affect greatly their activities, and consequently their performance. This research aimed to identify the consequences provided by workplace bullying verified by teachers and technical and administrative servants in a Higher Education Institute. The research was classified as descriptive, with a quanti-qualitative approach, and a study case. The data were collected by an online survey (279 respondents) and by interviews (6 interviewed). Quantitative data were treated statistically, and qualitative data were treated by content analysis. The health effects on workers were: disturbed/physical problems, headaches, stress, discouragement, isolation, wanting to retire, and others. Identifies the need for the institution to implement programs directed to prevent and combat this violence, as well as provide support for workers who suffer the effects provided by workplace bullying and other forms of violence and situations in the institution.
