This research explores the effects of the pandemic on mototaxi transport services in peri-urban areas of Lima. It addresses how its operators craft their transport offer based on their needs and expectations, the individual and collective resources available to them and their relationship with transport authorities. Telephone interviews were conducted with mototaxi drivers and the leaders of mototaxi transport companies. The results point to changes in the flow of competition, fares, regulation and enforcement operations that exacerbated tensions between inspectors, mototaxi drivers and companies. The pandemic also influenced job projections and the perception of formality and informality among interviewees.
