Under the "Four Certificates in One" training model, the clinical medical professional postgraduate education of clinical medicine has increasingly revealed an imbalance between training and research development, highlighting a significant deficiency in cultivating students' scientific research capabilities.Currently, a well-structured educational framework to effectively nurture the research skills of clinical medical professional postgraduates remains lacking. This study focuses on clinical medical professional postgraduate students specializing in general surgery as the primary subjects of observation.By analyzing the current status of scientific research education for clinical medical professional postgraduate and drawing upon our institution’s recent teaching reform efforts, we explore specific strategies for developing research skills in clinical medical professional postgraduate students, particularly through a clinical problem-oriented approach.Furthermore, we offer reflections on the future direction of research education for clinical medical professional postgraduate, with the goal of fostering the development of well-rounded, high-quality medical professionals.
