A regulação das solenidades religiosas nas terras portuguesas (sécs. XIV-XV)
Abstract
Between the fourteenth to fifteenth centuries, archbishops and bishops reported numerous cases of believers who transgressed the acceptable limits during religious ceremonies organized in around of the churches, especially in the days of processions and the night vigils. To fight against the lawlessness of Portuguese faithful in public space, these religious elaborated a complex list of sermons concerning conduct that the Christian should take in popular festivities. Taking into account the moralizing effort of the synods, we will analyze the means used to regulate parties in this period.
