Based on different doubts about the meaning of the contemporary historical knowledge, it is advisable to reflect on this theme. It is undeniable the necessity to get a whole understanding of the processes that take place around us, and for this it is essential to go to the theoretical tools that give the systematic study of the historical processes in the last two centuries. In the f ollowing writing we pretend to contribute some theoretical and methodological elements for the comprehension of the importance of the study of the historical contemporary problems in the school institutions.
