Determination of the top quark mass from the tt¯ ${m{tar t}}$ cross section measured by CMS at √s = 7 TeV
Abstract
Higher-order QCD predictions are used to extract the top quark mass, both in the pole and in the MS¯ $overline {MS} $ scheme, from the top quark pair production cross section measured in the dilepton final state. The analysed dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.14 fb−1 collected by the CMS experiment in 2011 in protonproton collisions at √s = 7 TeV.
